How did it feel to achieve such an epic performance at the World Memory Championships, and what was your mindset going into the competition?  

As a memory athlete, achieving such an epic performance at the World Memory Championships was an incredible experience that filled me with a sense of accomplishment and pride. I had worked tirelessly in the months leading up to the competition, pushing myself to the limit and striving to improve my memory skills. When I saw the results of my efforts come to fruition in such a spectacular way, it was a truly unforgettable moment. 

Going into the competition, my mindset was one of determination and focus. I knew that I had prepared as well as I possibly could, and I was confident in my ability to perform at a high level. However, I also knew that there were many talented memory athletes competing alongside me and that I would need to stay calm, focused, and disciplined if I wanted to succeed. 

Throughout the competition, I kept my mind clear and focused on the task at hand, using visualization techniques and mental exercises to stay sharp and alert. I also relied on my training and experience to guide me through the different events, trusting in my memory skills to help me perform at my best.

Can you walk us through one of your most impressive memory feats from the competition, and explain how you were able to accomplish it?  

One of my most impressive memory feats from the World Memory Championships was memorizing 176 abstract images in just 15 minutes. It was an incredibly challenging task that required me to use a range of memory techniques and strategies. 

To accomplish this feat, I first focused on breaking the images down into smaller, more manageable groups. I used a technique called chunking, where I grouped the images into sets of three or four, which made them easier to remember. 

I then used a visual memory technique called the Method of Loci, which involves associating each image with a specific location in a familiar place, such as a childhood home or a favorite park. I would mentally place each group of images in a specific location, using vivid and memorable images to make the associations as strong as possible. 

Throughout the 15 minutes, I repeated the process of chunking and using the Method of Loci to remember each new set of images, building on my previous associations and creating a mental map of the images in my mind. By the end of the 15 minutes, I had successfully memorized all 176 images, an incredible feat that filled me with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
